Jakarta, June 27 -- The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and state-owned air navigation firm AirNav Indonesia have agreed to strengthen joint efforts to prevent traffickers from using airports and commercial aircraft to transport drugs.

The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on drug prevention and law enforcement on June 24, 2025, according to BNN chief commissioner General Marthinus Hukom in Jakarta on Friday.

Similar MoUs were signed by BNN and AirNav Indonesia offices in all 34 provinces to demonstrate their shared commitment to combating narcotics.
