Jakarta, Nov. 12 -- Indonesia's Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Modernization and Assembly Agency (BRMP) to use climate data in supporting modern agricultural systems and national food security.

BMKG Deputy for Climatology Ardhasena Sopaheluwakan said the collaboration aims to accelerate the agricultural sector's adaptation to climate change.

"This partnership allows BMKG to provide real-time, accurate climate information that farmers can apply directly in the field," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
