Manokwari, W Papua, June 24 -- Indonesia's National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) announced on Monday that it prioritizes 821 families in six districts of West Papua in its Foster Parents for Stunting Prevention Program this year.

Households at higher risk of having stunted children hail from the districts of Manokwari, Manokwari Selatan, Pegunungan Arfak, Teluk Bintuni, Teluk Wondama, and Kaimana, according to the agency.

In her remarks here on Monday, Head of the BKKBN-Manokwari Office Philmona Maria Yarollo stated that Manokwari would become the program's top priority as 338 of the 821 targeted families are from the district.
