Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- Chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra affirmed that the overall security situation in the country is safe, despite recent unrest that took place in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar.

Herindra stated that BIN is still investigating the mastermind behind the incidents, which were marked by arson targeting regional legislative council (DPRD) buildings, police stations, and looting of the homes of several members of the House of Representatives (DPR) as well as the residence of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
