Jakarta, Aug. 29 -- Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Ministry of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection (P2MI) have signed a cooperation agreement to enhance consumer protection for Indonesian migrant workers regarding payment systems.

BI Deputy Governor Filianingsih Hendarta stated that remittances-money sent by migrant workers to their families-not only improve their welfare but also strengthen Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves and support the stability of its balance of payments.

To support this, BI and the P2MI Ministry have created the JariPMI.Info website, which offers essential information for migrant workers.
