Jakarta, Nov. 7 -- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) are collaborating to assess the impact of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program on national economic growth.
Deputy Head of BGN for Public Communication and Investigation, Nanik S. Deyang, said in a statement on Friday that the joint survey is crucial to determine the extent of the program's impact on communities.
"The MBG program will turn one year old on January 6. Therefore, we hope BPS can present valuable data regarding the program's impact on economic growth," she said.
The agency also invited BPS to develop an integrated statistical system expected to track the development and growth of students who benefit from the MBG program.
