Jakarta, March 19 -- The National Alms Agency (Baznas) reiterated its commitment to strengthening coordination with the Palestinian government for the delivery of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people.

"Indonesia and Palestine have a strong bond with each other historically and emotionally. Baznas and the Indonesian people will continue supporting the Palestinian cause through humanitarian assistance, economic empowerment, and other social programs," Baznas chair Noor Achmad said.

According to a written statement released by the agency on Wednesday, Achmad conveyed this commitment during a meeting with the Palestinian President's special envoy for religious affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, on Tuesday.
