Jakarta, April 3 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) has sent 16 thousand aid packages, weighing 19.7 tons and worth Rp2.5 billion or around US$150 thousand, for earthquake survivors in Myanmar.
"We have ensured that the assistance sent is in accordance with the needs of the (earthquake) survivors in Myanmar," Baznas chairperson Noor Achmad said in a statement released here on Thursday.
He emphasized that his side is committed to humanitarian actions, both domestic and international.
The aid consists of 100 generators, 50 tents, 10 thousand sarongs, one thousand hygiene kits for women and children, five thousand blankets, 50 tarpaulins, and essential medicines required by quake-affected communities in Myanmar.
