Jakarta, July 16 -- The Indonesian National Alms Agency (Baznas) shared best practices in the governance and management of Islamic almsgiving, voluntary charity, and donations (ZIS) with the Selangor Alms Agency (LZS) of Malaysia.

Representatives from both philanthropic agencies held a meeting at the Baznas office in Jakarta on Monday (July 14), according to a Baznas statement received on Wednesday.

Head of Baznas Noor Achmad emphasized that the agency has a longstanding partnership with Malaysian counterparts and has been invited on multiple occasions to assist in improving the management of Islamic philanthropic funds in the country.
