Jakarta, Jan. 6 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) has distributed more than 20,000 school kit packages to students affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Baznas Chairman Noor Achmad said the initiative is part of the agency's commitment to ensuring children can continue accessing education even after disasters.

"Baznas is committed to ensuring that children's education continues. Economic constraints caused by the disasters must not become a barrier to learning," he said in a written statement in Jakarta on Monday.
