Jakarta, Nov. 11 -- The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) is establishing international cooperation to improve the ability of national emergency response personnel and cross-border coordination in rescue operations.

During a meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Tuesday, the head of Basarnas, Mohammad Syafii, informed that his agency has conducted joint exercises with Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Norway in 2025.

This joint training involved 388 participants in 10 regions, along with advanced training for 179 employees and the INASAR (Indonesia Search and Rescue) team.
