Pangkalpinang, Aug. 7 -- Finance Ministry's Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) Regional Office, Bangka Belitung Islands, said Bangka Selatan has potential to become a major rice and vegetable supplier for the Nutritious Free Meal (MBG) Program on Bangka Island.

"Currently, the total rice field area in Bangka Selatan covers 13 thousand hectares, and it has the potential to become the main rice producer for the MBG Program on Bangka Island," Head of the DJPb Regional Office for Bangka Belitung, Syukriah HG, stated in Pangkalpinang on Thursday.
