Bandung, West Java, Dec. 19 -- Police investigated an object suspected to be a bomb discovered outside the GKPS Church in the Baranangsiang shophouse complex, Kosambi, Bandung, on Friday.
ANTARA's journalist at the scene reported a team from the Bomb Disposal Unit (Jibom) of the West Java Regional Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) arrived to secure the area by sterilizing the surroundings and setting up police tape to keep the public at a safe distance.
Asep Kamaludin, the security officer for the ITC Kosambi shophouse complex, said he received the first report at around 8:30 a.m. from a shophouse manager named Agus.
"I received a report about a suspicious box that looked like a bomb," Kamaludin stated.
