Jakarta, Oct. 12 -- Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development said the use of bamboo as the central theme of the 2025 Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) represents a strong symbol of sustainability.
"We chose bamboo because it is a fast-growing plant with a low carbon footprint and multiple functions," Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Rachmat Kaimuddin said in a statement on Sunday.
He said bamboo's qualities reflect ISF 2025's core philosophy of growth, resilience, and sustainability. Through this symbolism, ISF urges all stakeholders to move beyond discussion and take collective action to bring real change for the planet and future generations.
