Indonesia, Jan. 13 -- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, said the Balikpapan Refinery revitalization project, or Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP), could reduce gasoline imports by up to 5.8 million kiloliters (KL) per year.
"With the additional production of 5.8 million KL, our gasoline imports will be reduced to 19 million KL," he stated at the Balikpapan Refinery RDMP project inauguration on Monday (January 12).
Lahadalia explained that national demand reaches approximately 38.5 million kiloliters per year, while domestic production is projected at 14.27 million KL.
