Jakarta, Oct. 20 -- Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy has expressed his vision of making Bali a model for regional economic development rooted in local potential.

"We are committed to revitalizing Bali. We want to develop regional models from Aceh to Papua, rooted in the richness of local culture and identity. This is a promising first step," Pambudy said in a ministry statement here on Monday.

He outlined six pillars of Bali's economic revival, which are organic agriculture; maritime and fisheries; culture-based industries; crafts, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives; the creative and digital economy; and tourism.
