Denpasar, Bali, Sept. 17 -- Bali Governor Wayan Koster has requested medical equipment assistance from Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin following the massive flooding that affected large parts of the island last week.

Koster stated that his meeting with Minister Sadikin was a follow-up to earlier discussions with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture and the Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights regarding post-flood recovery support.

"During the meeting with Minister Sadikin, I requested medical equipment assistance for Wangaya Regional General Hospital in Denpasar, which was damaged by the flood," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
