Denpasar, Sept. 13 -- Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana confirmed that the massive flooding in Bali has not impacted tourist arrivals.
She conveyed this after inspecting kiosks and art stalls at Kumbasari Market in Denpasar on Saturday, one of the areas most affected by the September 10 floods.
"We've checked and there have been no cancellations from tourists, no flight or hotel cancellations; in fact, they are fully booked. The situation is normal," she said.
Wardhana also stated that the Bali Provincial Government has begun assessing the impact of the flooding and is discussing compensation for affected communities.
