Denpasar, Bali, Sept. 18 -- Indonesia's Bali provincial authority officially ended its emergency response status on September 17, following severe flooding that affected nearly all parts of the island province last week.

According to an official from the Bali Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), I Gede Agung Teja Bhusana Yadnya, Governor Wayan Koster revoked the emergency status as conditions have gradually improved.

"Considering the ongoing improvement in conditions, the reduced need for emergency response operations, and the assessment by the disaster mitigation team, the Governor of Bali has decided to terminate the disaster response status," Yadnya stated in a written statement on Thursday.
