Jakarta, May 2 -- Electricity supply on Bali has almost returned to normal following a power blackout on Friday afternoon that affected public facilities and the operation of the tourism island's airport, according to an official.

The Bali provincial authority, quoting state electricity company PLN, reported that the blackout affected 80 percent of the province.

PLN's Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications & TJSL Gregorius Adi Trianto stated that the company deployed hundreds of personnel to address the blackout in the island province, which was reported to have occurred at 4 p.m. local time.
