Denpasar, July 24 -- Bali Governor Wayan Koster, on Thursday, received a visit from Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Akiko Ikuina in Denpasar City, where they explored more avenues to strengthen cooperation in tourism and education.
In a statement from his office, the governor noted that Bali and Japan have long maintained ties in these two crucial sectors.
"We hold high regard for Japanese tourists who respect local cultures and rules," Koster stated.
He highlighted that the high number of Japanese citizens visiting Bali for recreation is on par with that of Balinese youths studying, working, and enrolling in apprenticeship programs in Japan.
