Bandung, West Java, Jan. 24 -- The West Java Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) informed that the unfavorable weather situation hampered the search for 82 residents buried by a landslide in Pasirlangu Village, West Bandung District, early Saturday morning.

The head of Emergency and Logistics at the West Java BPBD, Bambang Imanudin, said that prolonged rain is hampering the joint Basarnas (National Search and Rescue) and SAR (Search and Rescue) team's search efforts.

"The team is actually ready, but the heavy rain is causing difficulties," Imanudin remarked.
