Badung, Bali, June 22 -- Sanar Ghanim, a key witness in the recent fatal shooting involving three Australian men in Bali, has been placed under police protection as authorities continue to investigate the case.
Ghanim, an Australian national who survived the violent incident that occurred at a villa in Munggu Village, Badung District, in the early hours of Saturday, June 14, has been relocated to a secure location.
The safe house is under the supervision of the police and the Australian Consulate, Badung Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner M. Arif Batubara told reporters here on Saturday.
Police have also extended security measures to Ghanim's family and other residents of Villa Casa Santisya 1, where the shooting took place.
