Jakarta, May 12 -- Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will make a state visit to Indonesia this week, according to Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rolliansyah Soemirat.
The visit is scheduled for May 14-15 and will coincide with the annual bilateral leaders' meeting.
"It will be Prime Minister Albanese's first visit since his reelection and reflects the strategic relationship between our two countries," Soemirat noted in a written statement issued on Monday.
He stated that Albanese and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will discuss bilateral ties, with a particular focus on economic issues such as food and energy security, as well as trade.
