Jakarta, March 3 -- Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan has announced that at least 58,000 job vacancies will soon be available.

"In the near future, there will be 58,000 job openings. This is a positive development amid the current global uncertainty," he said in a statement on Monday.

Of these jobs, 10,000 will be created by footwear manufacturer Ultimate Noble Indonesia at its newly inaugurated factory in Garut, West Java, while the remaining 48,000 will be generated by two other companies.

According to Gerungan, Chinese automotive company BYD Auto is currently building a factory in Subang, West Java, which will create 18,000 jobs.
