Kuala Lumpur, July 10 -- Member countries of ASEAN expressed their concern about the ongoing crisis in Myanmar at the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday.

"Regarding Myanmar, we want peace in the country," Foreign Minister Sugiono said after attending the 58th AMM in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

He informed that during the meeting, ASEAN foreign ministers expressed concern for Myanmar, which is a member of ASEAN and a part of the ASEAN family.

The issues related to the Myanmar crisis must be addressed jointly, starting with prioritizing assistance that can be provided by fellow ASEAN members, he added.
