Jakarta, May 14 -- An Indonesian health official has emphasized the importance of synergy between ASEAN and Japan in strengthening medical device regulatory systems and accelerating public access to innovative and safe medical technologies.

"The University of Indonesia and Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) are promoting regulatory harmonization for the benefit of both ASEAN and Japan," said Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono.
