Indonesia, June 28 -- Army Chief of Staff, General Maruli Simanjuntak, earlier this week, handed over housing units to the widows of 25 Indonesian soldiers who died on duty between 2020 and 2025.
He also provided the housing assistance to five army personnel who suffered permanent injury in the line of duty from 2019 to 2024.
The housing units were symbolically handed over to recipients at an event held at the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) Headquarters in Central Jakarta on June 26, 2025, according to a press statement issued by the TNI here on Friday.
The army chief also announced scholarships for the children of the widows, which will cover their education until they reach 25 years of age.
