Jakarta, Nov. 27 -- The Indonesian Military's Army (TNI AD) has deployed hundreds of soldiers to assist in handling floods and landslides across several areas on Sumatra Island.

Head of TNI AD Information Office, Colonel Donny Pramono, said the deployment demonstrates the Army's commitment to supporting communities whenever disasters occur.

"Recently, regional commands reported that around 200 to 300 personnel from Bukit Barisan District Military Command (Kodam) were directly involved. Personnel from Kodam XX, approximately 200 soldiers, were also involved," Pramono said here on Thursday.

He added that disaster response is currently being handled locally, with teams mobilized from various army corps.

"Complete teams have been deployed...
