Jakarta, Oct. 23 -- Finance and structural reform ministers from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation bloc on Wednesday agreed to coordinate policies to advance innovation and digital transformation across the region.

In a statement posted on APEC's official website, the ministers said emerging technologies are reshaping productivity, competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth throughout the Asia-Pacific.

South Korean Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Yun Cheol Koo, who chaired the joint session, said he asked ChatGPT for recommendations on how APEC economies could best promote artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
