Jakarta, May 4 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto discussed strengthening bilateral relations and regional challenges during a phone call on Saturday night (May 3).

In a post on his Instagram account on Sunday, Anwar said that he exchanged views with Prabowo on a range of topics, including Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation across multiple sectors.

"We discussed the importance of strengthening cooperation between our two allied nations across multiple sectors," Anwar noted. "President Prabowo and I are confident that the close bond between Malaysia and Indonesia will serve the interests of our people."
