Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- Indonesia's state-run news agency ANTARA and Turkey's Anadolu Agency have renewed their long-standing cooperation, with the agreement announced in the presence of both countries' presidents.

The agreement was among 12 cooperation agreements signed between the Indonesian and Turkish governments during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's state visit to the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday.

"The cooperation between ANTARA and Anadolu has existed for quite some time. We responded to Anadolu's initiative to extend this partnership, which includes collaboration between state news agencies and among members of the Asia-Pacific News Agency Association (OANA)," ANTARA CEO Akhmad Munir stated on Wednesday.
