Jakarta, Dec. 18 -- The National Archives (ANRI) is tracing the trail of the national capital's relocation from Jakarta to Nusantara through archival records to present a full historical perspective on the journey of Indonesia's centers of government.

ANRI Head Mego Pinandito, speaking after opening the 2025 National Collective Memory Festival (MKB) here on Thursday, said the archives document planning processes, policy dynamics, and the social and political contexts behind changes to the seat of government over time.

"Archives on the capital's trajectory present a complete picture from Batavia and Jakarta to the planning and realization of the relocation to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN)," Pinandito said.
