Jakarta, Feb. 25 -- Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto will offer amnesty to prisoners who meet the specified criteria.

"The numbers vary because, as we approach Eid al-Fitr, there will definitely be remissions and others. However, we ensure that it will be granted to those who truly meet the classifications," Andrianto stated at the Cipinang Detention Center here on Tuesday.

He also emphasized that remissions cannot be granted to corrupt individuals and drug traffickers due to the wide-ranging impact of their crimes on society.
