Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- The Directorate General of Immigration has deported a United States (US) citizen who abused her stay permit by hosting an intimacy retreat in Bali.

The woman, identified as JRG (44), was arrested by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team on September 16 while attempting to fly to Jakarta via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. She was deported on Thursday (September 18).

"Every foreigner in Indonesia must comply with immigration regulations and respect applicable legal norms. We will take firm action against anyone who abuses their stay permit," said Winarko, Head of the Ngurah Rai Class I Special Immigration Office, on Friday.
