Jakarta, May 7 -- Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, ASEAN, and Timor-Leste Faisal Abdullah H. Amodi highlighted the importance of cooperation in education, especially between Indonesian and Saudi Arabian universities, for intensifying relations between both nations.

"Cooperation in the academic field is very important for increasing cooperation between the two countries," the ambassador remarked after his meeting with Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia here on Tuesday.

The ambassador affirmed that relations between both nations have achieved significant progress in various fields and levels. Historically, the two countries have also enjoyed close ties.
