Jakarta, Jan. 15 -- Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) President Raja Sapta Oktohari said the visit of Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) President Stephan Fox has strengthened Indonesia's position on the global sports stage.

"Indonesia is not only present as a participant, but as a strategic partner ready to actively contribute to the advancement of world sport, in line with Olympic values and the spirit of sport for all," Oktohari said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Oktohari and his team welcomed the visit of the head of the organization, which serves as a bridge for non-Olympic sports federations, and held a meeting at the KOI headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday (Jan. 14).
