Jakarta, Feb. 21 -- The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has created opportunities for digital economic growth, according to Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria.

He stated that AI is expected to contribute US$366 billion to Indonesia's GDP by 2030.

"This growth is driven by the marketing industry, gaming, and the education sector," he said at the Tech & Telco Summit 2025, which he joined virtually on Friday.

Patria noted that these three industries are the top contributors to increasing interest in AI technology, based on a survey and research conducted by Google in the Asian Economy 2024 report.
