Jakarta, Feb. 20 -- The Indonesian government must prioritize its agrarian reform efforts, according to the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency (BP Taskin).
"Implementing agrarian reform is essential if we aim to become a major industrial country," BP Taskin Head Budiman Sudjatmiko stated.
Speaking at an event on agrarian reform, rural development, cooperatives, food security, and poverty alleviation in Jakarta on Thursday, he emphasized that restructuring Indonesia's agrarian policies is key to improving people's living standards.
"In order to achieve industrial progress, we need natural resources that benefit a broad segment of society, especially land," he stressed.
