Jakarta, Feb. 3 -- The Attorney General's Office (AGO) conveyed that Mohammad Riza Chalid, currently on an Interpol Red Notice (RNI), is suspected of being in an ASEAN country.

"Investigators have gathered information that Riza Chalid is in one of the ASEAN countries," Head of the Attorney General's Office's Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, informed on Tuesday.

Riza Chalid is a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina Subholding and its Production Sharing Contract Contractors (KKKS) for the 2018-2023 period, which is currently under trial.

Although he is suspected of being in the ASEAN region, Supriatna could not confirm Riza Chalid's exact location.
