Pekanbaru, Riau, Feb. 2 -- An Indonesian legislator has voiced support for the government's action to ensure Malaysia's thorough probe into the recent shooting of five Indonesian migrant workers in the neighboring country's waters.
"We fully support President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to monitoring the case," said Hendry Munief, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) who represents the people of Riau.
The shooting incident occurred in the waters of Tanjung Rhu, Selangor, on January 24, 2025, as five Indonesian migrant workers were reportedly attempting to leave Malaysia illegally.
