Jakarta, July 25 -- The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has reported that 2,011 residents have been displaced following a 6.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Poso District, Central Sulawesi, on Thursday evening.
"Preliminary data indicates that 609 households, totaling 2,011 individuals, have been forced to leave their homes," said Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, during a press briefing in Jakarta on Friday.
According to BNPB's preliminary findings, four residents sustained minor injuries and are currently receiving medical care.
As many as 14 houses were severely damaged, and 21 homes experienced minor damage due to the earthquake.
