Indonesia, July 15 -- A 5.2-magnitude earthquake shook Poso District in Central Sulawesi on Monday (July 14) evening, causing damage to dozens of homes in the region.
"According to a preliminary assessment, some 38 homes in Tindoli Village, Southeast Pamona Sub-district, were damaged," Central Sulawesi's Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Head Akris Fattah Yunus stated here on Tuesday.
The BPBD's quick response team also found that although no casualties were reported, some 20 residents evacuated to safer locations, such as relatives' or neighbors' homes, following the tremor.
While conditions remain stable, Yunus noted that residents continue to stay vigilant for potential aftershocks.
