Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- President Prabowo Subianto announced plans to build 1,100 fishermen villages this year, aiming to empower fishermen as the nation's food producers.
"We will build as quickly as possible. This year we must start with 1,100 fishermen villages," Prabowo said during his State Address at the Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Nusantara Building, Jakarta, on Friday.
This effort aims to improve the lives of fishermen and restore their pride in being the nation's backbone for food production.
