Jakarta, July 6 -- The "Jakarta Dalam Warna" (Jakarta in Colors) event is part of an effort to establish Jakarta as a city of culture, with a special emphasis on Betawi heritage, according to Governor Pramono Anung.

"Events like this should not only be held during major celebrations. They must become part of daily community life," Anung said during the event at the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout in Jakarta on Sunday.

He emphasized that the event reflects the Jakarta provincial government's commitment to promoting Betawi culture as a source of pride for its residents.
