India, Jan. 27 -- The farmer's tractor rally, which was supposed to be a peaceful rally on Republic Day in the national capital, had turned into the violent ground. In connection with the same, Twitter on Wednesday suspended over 550 accounts from its platform.

The visuals from the Red fort and ITO in Delhi were highly disturbing and violent. Thousands of farmers from the different states have been protesting in Delhi for over two months against the new controversial laws enacted by the Centre in September last year.

A Twitter spokesperson stated in regards to suspended accounts that the platform has also labelled tweets that were found to be in violation of its "synthetic and manipulated media policy".
