India, Dec. 18 -- As the protest against CAA grows, section 144 has been imposed in various states, like Uttar Pradesh and Delhi (Red Fort Area). Prior to this, the B.S.Yediyurappa-led BJP government has imposed the same in many parts of Karnataka, for three days, in order to combat the massive protests taking place.
Areas like Red Fort have been under surveillance, and various prominent personalities like Swaraj India's Yogendra Yadav and Ram Chandra Guha have been detained in Red Fort and Bengaluru respectively.
