Ethiopia, April 24 -- The Ministry of Mines signed an agreement with three mineral exploring companies, the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

The agreement is signed after the Ministry issues a license of exploration to them.

The companies, have licensed to extract gold, metal and coal in three regions-Amhara, Tigray and Benshsngul Gumuz regions.

These companies, which ventured in search of minerals at cost of over 31 million birr, are domestic ones except once Chinese companies.

The agreement is signed by Minister Samuel Urkato and CEOs of three companies.
