Ethiopia, April 19 -- Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) announced that foreign contractors, which have engaged in the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

These companies, which came from India and China, are working on the electromechanical section of the dam that the government took from Metal and Engineering Corporation for failing to work up to the standard.

CEO of EEP, Dr. Abreham Belay told Walta on cite site of the construction.He said that the first round performance of the contractors is commendable.

Dr, Abreham said that EEP will support and follow these contractors until they will finalize their task.
