Gangtok, May 5 -- Sikkim Police achieved a major breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking with two separate operations conducted in Jorethang and Singtam, leading to the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics and the arrest of four individuals.

In Jorethang, a well-coordinated operation spearheaded by Melli SHO Kishor Chettri resulted in the confiscation of 815 grams of heroin. The operation, carried out on Sunday following precise intelligence inputs, led to the arrest of three residents of Jorethang who were reportedly under surveillance.
